ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Ken Wallentine is the Chief of Law Enforcement for the Utah Attor-
ney General. He formerly served as administrative counsel at the
Utah Department of Public Safety. Mr. Wallentine is the former Chief
Deputy Uintah County Attorney. He regularly teaches use of force
liability, search and seizure, laws of arrest, and other legal subjects
at the Utah State Police Academy. He is on the faculty of Excelsior
College of Albany, New York.
Mr. Wallentine is affiliated with the American Inns of Court, where
he serves as a Master of the Inns and is president-elect of America’s
first Inn of Court. He is the author of numerous peer-reviewed articles
and books, including
Preparing and Executing Search Warrants
(UPOA
1998), and is a co-author of
Lobbying, PACs, and Campaign Finance
(West Publishing 1992), as well as
Life in the Law: Answering God’s
Interrogatories
(Deseret Book 2001). His most recent book is
Crimi-
nal Procedure: A Street Cop’s Guide
(Aspen Press 2005).
