There may be property, such as stocks or bonds of defunct corporations, for which there is no market and there is no way of making division of them. The representative does not wish to keep them for the distributees, and quite possibly they have been inventoried so that he or she cannot secure a discharge in formal closing proceedings without accounting for them in some way. Several solutions to this problem may be available: (1) deposit the securities with the clerk of the court under court order (not generally favored by the courts or their clerks)...
