MOTION TO SHUFFLE JURY AND JURY LIST

TO THE HONORABLE JUDGE OF SAID COURT:

COMES NOW the Defendant in the above entitled and numbered cause, by and through his attorney of record, (name of the Defendant’s attorney of record), and respectfully moves this Honorable Court to shuffle the jury and jury list in this case; and in support thereof would show the Court as follows:

I.

The instant case has been called for trial and a venire has been summoned from which a jury is to be selected to hear the trial of the case.

II.

Voir dire has not yet begun and thus, the Defendant is entitled to a shuffle of the jury and jury list under Tex. Code Crim. Pro. Art. 35.11.

III.

The Defendant requests that the Trial Court cause the names of the jurors to be placed in a receptacle and to be well-shaken, and then that the Trial Court order the clerk to draw the names of sufficient...
