MOTION FOR THE ATTACHMENT OF ABSENT VENIREMEN

TO THE HONORABLE JUDGE OF SAID COURT:

COMES NOW the Defendant in the above entitled and numbered cause, by and through his attorney of record, (name of the Defendant’s attorney of record), and respectfully moves this Honorable Court to attach the absent veniremen summoned in this case; and in support thereof would show the Court as follows:

I.

On (date that venire was ordered), this Honorable Court ordered that a venire be summoned in order to impanel a jury to hear the trial of the instant case. The venire was to appear on (date that venire was ordered to appear).

II.

When said venire appeared, certain summoned members of the venire were not present.

III.

The Defendant respectfully moves that this Honorable Court issue a Writ of Attachment for each and every venireman who did not respond to the jury summons and to require said juror to be present in Court and provide an excuse or reason for his failure to appear before this Honorable Court prior to the impaneling of a jury in the above referenced cause.

IV.

The Defendant would further request that the Court instruct any and all personnel executing said Writs of Attachment to not mention which party requested issuance of the Attachment or for what reason or that it was in...
