17-9 Limitations Established or Modified by Agreement

Parties may agree to modify or extend the limitations period so long as the modification is "specific and for a reasonable time."38 Parties may not agree to permanently waive the limitations period.39 The agreement must modify the limitations period to a predetermined and reasonable period of time.40
