17-7 Ten-Year Statute of Limitations

A person must bring suit against another who holds real property in peaceable and adverse possession who cultivates, uses, or enjoys the property.35

A 10-year limitations period applies to enforcing judgments. A writ of execution must be issued, generally, within 10 years of the rendition of the judgment on which it is based.36
