ORLANDO CABRALES SEGOVIA has a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and MA in philosophy from Boston College. He worked for 16 years at BP, the last six years as vice president for Latin America legal. Between 2001 and 2005, he was general counsel of the company, and in prior years served as senior lawyer, executive assistant to the president, and political analyst at BP. In Ecopetrol SA, he served as assistant director between 1988 and 1990. He served on the boards of Malterías de Colombia SA, Reynolds Aluminum SA, Vikings Shipyards SA, BP Gas Colombia ESP, Central Pipeline (Ocensa). He also served on the boards of Corporation Excellence to Justice and Casa Editorial El Tiempo. In the National Hydrocarbons Agency, ANH served as President from October 2011 to March 2013. He currently serves as Vice Minister of Energy.
