ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Amy E. Davis is a partner and shareholder of Christiansen Davis
Bullock, LLC, a full service law firm in Dallas, Texas. She tries cases
for businesses and professionals—and she helps her clients stay
out of court, too. She cut her litigation teeth defending and pros-
ecuting trade secrets cases, primarily in the context of corporate
raiding lawsuits. Her practice is now more broadly-based but she
remains fond of trade secret disputes. Amy frequently comments
on legal issues in the media and contributes to legal publications.
She graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law.
Paula M . Bag ger is a partner in Cooke Clancy & Gruenthal LLP,
a Boston, Massachusetts, law firm specializing in business, com-
mercial, and other complex civil litigation. Paula represents public
companies, financial institutions, small business, and individuals
in cases that frequently involve allegations of fraud, misappropria-
tion, and unfair business practices. A member of the ABA Litiga-
tion Section, she is a co-editor of the Commercial and Business
Litigation Subcommittee’s newsletter and a frequent contributor
to its website. Paula received her J.D. degree cum laude from the
University of Chicago Law School, where she was an editor of the
Law Review and a member of Order of the Coif.
Joann a E. K im is a partner at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld,
LLP in its Los Angeles office. Joanna represents clients in a wide
range of intellectual property and business litigation matters,
including copyright, trademark and patent infringement; trade
secrets misappropriation; unfair competition; and royalty, licens-
ing, and other contractual and business disputes. Joanna is a for-
mer engineer in the environmental and aerospace industry, with a
degree in chemical engineering from the University of California
at Berkeley. Joanna graduated from Loyola Law School, where she
was a member of the St. Thomas More Law Honor Society and
was the chief note and comment editor of the Entertainment Law
Journ al.
