SUMMARY OF RULE 607

• The credibility of a witness may be attacked by any party, including the party calling the witness.
• Leading questions may be used for the purpose of attacking such credibility.

• It is permissible to impeach a witness by showing bias. U.S. v. Abel, 469 U.S. 45 (1984).
