SUMMARY OF RULE 410

• CRE 410 insulates certain pleas and certain statements made in conjunction with the plea bargaining process.
• A guilty plea or admission of the charge that was later withdrawn is not admissible.
• An offer to plead guilty or an offer to plead nolo contendere is not admissible.
• Any statements made in the course of a guilty plea that are later withdrawn, or any statements made in connection with an offer to plead guilty or nolo contendere, are not admissible.
