Common in
Neck and Back Injury Cases
Medical records and reports often contain standard medical abbreviations. The following list is by
no means exhaustive nor are the abbreviations themselves mutually exclusive. For instance, “D.C.”
can mean “discontinue” or “chiropractor,” and your medical witness may have a third and fourth
meaning for this term. It can be important to confirm the meaning of abbreviations with the person
who prepared the record.
