Revised I-9 form issued: Start using it by May 1.

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services last month issued a new version of the I-9 Form that employers must complete to verify each new hires' work eligibility. The new version carries a date of "10/21/2019" in the lower left and an expiration date of Oct. 31, 2022 in the upper right.

You can still use the old I-9 form (with 07/17/2017 in the lower left) up until April 30. Starting May 1, you're required to use this new version.

What's new on this I-9? Only minor clarifications on the acceptable I-9 documents and who can act as an employer's authorized representative.
