Resolution to dispose of equipment determined as SCRAP

WHEREAS , pursuant to Town Law § 176(23) a Board of Fire Commissioners (Board) may sell or otherwise dispose of equipment, apparatus, personal property or their items of tangible personal property longer necessary for the purposes of the Fire District.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the board finds that the following items of equipment, apparatus or personal property set forth below are deemed scrap, that is, these items retain intrinsic value due to the material out of which they are made; and accordingly these items, after the board researched their value, deems these assets to be disposed of in one of the following commercially reasonable manners, obtaining the best value, and

IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED THAT these assets may be sold through a public notice and auction process, use of any other public notice procedure, placement of ads in publications and general circulation or electronic classified ads or auction sites, or by negotiation. The Board has determined the best method of disposal so as to achieve the greatest value is as follows
