By May 1, employers must begin using the new version of the I-9 form to verify each new hire's work eligibility. The revised version carries a date of "10/21/2019" in the lower left and an expiration date of Oct. 31, 2022 in the top right. You can use the old I-9 form (with 07/17/2017 in the lower left) up until April 30.
