PREFACE
The Antitrust Section’s Corporate Counseling Committee conceived
of this volume as a helpful guide to those lawyers who are asked a wide
range of antitrust questions, particularly internal counsel who are
frequently asked questions by businesspeople looking for quick, clear
and concise answers. Frequently Asked Antitrust Questions is designed
for precisely those situations.
Many people provided valuable assistance to the creation of
Frequently Asked Antitrust Questions. The initial drafting effort was led
by Steven J. Cernak, ably assisted by a large number of Section and
Committee members, including Stephen W. Armstrong, Christopher Dee,
Nancy M. Lambert, Gil Ohana, Steve Ormond, Paula W. Render, Bilal
Sayyed, Patrick M. Sheller, Richard J. Wegener, Dennis White, and
Eugene F. Zelek. Former Committee Chair Alan L. Silverstein and
Committee Vice-Chairs Milton A. Marquis and Michael B. Miller led the
effort to finalize the drafting and to prepare the volume for publication.
Thanks too to Dara J. Diomande and Jonathan M. Jacobson of the Books
and Treatises Committee for their work in the editing process. We are
grateful for the hard work and expertise of all of those who participated.
