PREFACE
The Antitrust Evidence Handbook (2d ed.) was prepared under the aegis
of the Civil Practice and Procedure Committee of the Antitrust Section of
the American Bar Association. The edition updates the original
Handbook published in 1991. The new edition retains the user-friendly
organization and format of the original version. The new edition also
incorporates the latest statutory and case law developments in the
evidence field. The most significant development in antitrust evidence in
the last decade has been the treatment of expert testimony under Daubert
and its progeny. The chapter devoted to experts has been completely
rewritten to take account of these changes. Many members of the
Antitrust Section contributed to the second edition. We are especially
grateful to Civil Practice and Procedure Committee Vice-Chairs Debra
H. Dermody and Amy A. Stathos for their contributions and editorial
oversight of this project. We thank contributors Rick Acker, Alexander
Baehr, Donald E. Broadfield, Jr., Jennifer Fountain Connolly, Eric P.
Enson, Joy Foyuno, Allen P. Grunes, Mindy Harper, Frank M. Hinman,
Tracey D. Jones, Michael B. Kades, Emma Killick, Danielle R. Merida,
Marta E. Miyar, Mark Robertson, Harry T. Robins and Sujal J. Shah.
The editorial board consisted of Edward D. Cavanagh, Donn P. Pickett,
Elise Kirban, Kathryn M. Fenton, Jonathan M. Jacobson, Keith D.
Shugarman and Anthony W. Swisher. The Council reviewers were
Richard M. Steuer and Christopher J. MacAvoy. Finally, we are grateful
for the hard work of the support staff and volunteers at Morgan, Lewis &
Bockius, LLP and Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, LLP.
