MANUEL MAIGUASHCA is an economist and Vice President of Cerrito Capital, Bogotá. He was Deputy Minister of Mines and Energy from 2002 to 2009, responsible for executing and implementing hedging policies, development, and expansion of the electricity sector in Ecuador. He has served on the boards of Isagen, Isa, FEN, Ecopetrol, Metrocali, and Ecogas. Previously, he worked in the Ministry of Finance in the Government of Valle and for various venture capital funds. He currently participates in meetings of Serviport and Olmue. He is a graduate of Texas A & M University with a major in economics, and holds degrees in government and public affairs from the Universidad Externado de Colombia and Columbia University.
