FOREWORD
The American Bar Association Section of Antitrust Law is pleased to
publish the Monopolization and Dominance Handbook.TheHandbook
addresses the antitrust rules and principles that govern unilateral business
conduct by firms with substantial market positions, referred to in the
United States as the law of monopolization. In addition, the Handbook
compares and contrasts the approaches of courts and enforcers in the
United States in this area of the law with those of counterparts in other
jurisdictions.
The Section of Antitrust Law is grateful to the many attorneys and
economists who contributed to the Handbook. We are especially grateful
to Ronald Davis and Robert Milne, who served as lead editors, and to
Joseph Angland, William Blumenthal, Tad Lipsky, Sean Gates,
Kimberly Kefalas, Jeffrey Korn, Jack Pace, and Colin West, who
provided valuable input and helped prepare the Handbook for
publication.
