§ 19.7 • IN PERSONAM JURISDICTION OF THE ARBITRATOR/ARBITRATION OVER THE PARTIES TO AN ARBITRATION PROCEEDING

Suppose the following:

1) The arbitration agreement between A and B is silent as to where the arbitration is to be held;
2) A is domiciled in Colorado; B is domiciled in New York;
3) The arbitration agreement was executed in California;
4) The events that are the subject of the dispute occurred in Florida;
5) The agreement defines that each party shall appoint one arbitrator, who in turn shall appoint a third;
6) A makes a demand for arbitration upon B, naming Jones as its party-appointed arbitrator;
