§20.7 STAY OF MANDATE
As explained in §20.5(2), above, a mandate is stayed in death penalty cases until the period for seeking relief from the United States Supreme Court has expired. RAP 12.5(c)(3). In other cases, RAP 12.6 specifically provides that the appellate court will not stay the mandate to allow parties to pursue a decision from the U.S. Supreme Court on an application for review.
