Call for Papers

Industrial Relations is planning a special issue to commemorate 75 years of the Fair

Labor Standards Act. We seek original research as well as conceptual papers on FLSA top-

ics, such as minimum wages, overtime and work-family balance issues. Priority will be given

to papers that examine emerging policy issues, such as exemptions from the Act, enforce-

ment strategies and others.

Some of the papers may be selected to be presented at a commemorative FLSA event, to be

held at the U.S. Department of Labor on November 15, 2013, for which Industrial Relations

is a major collaborator.

The special issue will be co-edited by Jesse Rothstein and Michael Reich. Deadline for

submission of papers to be delivered at the commemorative event: October 15, 2013.

Deadline for submission of papers to the special issue: December 15, 2013.
