Board governance practices
These charts show how the boards in the B&A net-
work are using committees to accomplish their gover-
nance work, and some of the policies they are using.
To start with, only 37.5% of the boards have a
governance committee, while 80% use an execu-
tive committee.
Also, nearly 98% of the boards have a conflict-
of-interest policy, while 95% use a code of ethics.
Interestingly, 65% of boards keep digital records of
past policy decisions. ■
