§10.8 Federal Trade Communication (FTC)

The FTC has assumed primary responsibility for the regulation of food advertising, specifically in the areas of nutrient content claims and health claims.17 The FTC attempts to standardize its position on food advertising with the position of the FDA on food labeling regulations.18
