Webinar offers tips for writing donor thank-you letters
The nonprot resources website Charityhowto.com will host a webinar titled “How to Write a Nonprot Thank You
Letter That Makes Donors Smile and Want to Give Again!” Jan. 19, 2021, and Jan. 27, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. ET.
According to organizers, studies show that a nonprot thank-you letter is the rst—and possibly most important—step
in donor retention. Your thank-you letter should be personalized, authentic and, crucially, donor-centered.
With that in mind, this webinar will show you step by step how to create a nonprot thank-you letter that makes your
donors smile and want to give again. Led by professional fundraising consultant Simon Scriver, this webinar will share
examples of great and not-so-great thank-you letters and will help participants develop a template thank-you letter they
can modify for their own nonprot.
Among other things, participants will learn:
• how to correctly acknowledge your donor and their gift,
• how to personalize your nonprot thank-you letter so it is donor-centered,
• how to make your donor smile when they read your letter,
• how to show the impact of their gift,
• how to use proven tactics in your nonprot thank-you letter that improve donor retention and
• how to incorporate excitement and gratitude into your letter.
Registration fees for this event are $87.
