James C. Rehberg, an esteemed professor of law at Walter F. George School of Law, Mercer University, for almost fifty years, was my classmate in law school. We had a small class by today's standards, but almost every person in the class has become distinguished in one or more ways in the profession.

No member of the class has done more for the profession than Jim Rehberg. The hundreds of students who have studied property, real estate, decedent's estates and trusts, and other subjects under him and who have partaken of his thorough knowledge of those subjects have benefitted greatly. To see him and to hear him is an inspiration, for he demonstrates high scholarship, unusual professionalism, strict ethical standards, and a kindly disposition marked by good temperament.
