IRS, Treasury issue Priority Guidance Plan for 2005-2006.

The IRS and the U.S. Treasury Department released the 2005-2006 Priority Guidance Plan to prioritize tax issues that will be addressed by the IRS during the next year.

The guidance plan includes 254 projects that relate to tax topics, such as:

* Stronger standards for reporting tax shelters under the new American Jobs Creation Act

* Guidance on the tax treatment of distributions from Roth retirement plans
