To create its World's Most Ethical Companies list, Ethisphere scores organizations on five categories: ethics and compliance program, ethics culture, corporate citizenship and responsibility, governance, and leadership and reputation. The company has found that stock prices of those that make the list outperform the large-cap sector by 14.4% over five years and 10.5% over three years. Seven insurers and one broker were named to the 2019 list:
