Several Wisconsin courts shut down over weather.

Courts in several Wisconsin counties were closed on Monday because of a winter-storm warning.

As much as 14 inches of snow were expected to fall on parts of Wisconsin on Monday, accompanied by strong winds off Lake Michigan, which would produce whiteout conditions on roadways.

Forecasters say the snow will be followed by dangerous cold on Wednesday; wind chills are expected to make it feel as if it were between 25 and 50 degrees below zero.

Courthouses in Dane, Jefferson, Sheboygan, Waukesha, Columbia, Washington, Rock, Ozaukee, Racine and Dodge counties were all closed on Monday, according to the Wisconsin Court System website.
