Charityhowto.com webinar gives
insight into sponsorships
The nonprot resources website Charityhowto.com
will host a webinar titled “How to Sell Event
Sponsorships—A Step By Step Guide” on June 6
and June 15 at 3:00 p.m. EDT and 1:00 p.m. EDT,
respectively.
Hosted by Joe Waters, a nationally recognized
expert on sponsorship and building successful part-
nerships with businesses, the webinar is designed
for nonprot staffers whose efforts to nd sponsors
for their events have fallen at of late.
According to organizers, selling event sponsor-
ships is hard for most nonprots because they
haven’t learned to nd them the right way. Spon-
sorship is sales, not philanthropy, and you have to
know how and what to sell.
Waters will share tips and tactics for selling event
sponsorships, providing insight into:
How to nd your rst or next sponsor.
What sponsors want and look for.
How to organize your sponsorship materials.
How to structure sponsorship levels and pricing.
How to deliver a sponsorship pitch that seals
the deal.
Fees for this event are $87.

Foundation Center webinar
dives deep into community
engagement
The Foundation Center will host a webinar titled
“Driving Collective Action: Strategies for Com-
munity Engagement” June 15 at 2:00 p.m. EDT.
The webinar, hosted on the center’s Grantspace.org
platform and led by Frances Kunreuther and Sean
Thomas-Breitfeld, co-directors of the Building
Movement Project, will explore a new tool issued
by the Alliance for Nonprot Management and
the BMP—the Nonprots Integrating Community
Engagement Guide. According to the Foundation
Center, the NICE Guide offers a wealth of resourc-
es—including background information, exercises,
tools, case studies and more—that help nonprots
develop core competencies on constituent and com-
munity engagement. The NICE Guide is designed
to help service groups leverage their unparalleled
reach into low-income communities to address the
larger problems faced by their constituents and
surrounding community. This webinar will high-
light the guide but also touch on key strategies for
community engagement as part of collective action
efforts, organizers said.
Fees for this event are $50.

Webinar looks at social
change branding
The Foundation Center will host a webinar titled
“Social Change Branding in the Digital Age” June
22 at 2:00 p.m. EDT.
The webinar, hosted on the Grantspace.org plat-
form, will be led by Matt Schwartz, the founder
and director of strategy at Constructive, a New
York City–based brand strategy and experience
design rm.
According to organizers, social change brands
are a powerful expression of an organization’s mis-
sion and values, and are a key strategic asset that
is central to their very success. But how are social
change brands experienced today, and how can we
bridge the gaps between strategic planning, online
engagement and real-world impact? In this webinar,
Schwartz will teach attendees how to translate a
clearly dened brand strategy into effective online
experiences to increase organizational cohesion,
capacity and impact.
Fees for this event are $50.
