Webinar helps craft online
communications plans
The nonprot resources website Charityhowto.com
will host a webinar titled “How to Create a Strategic
Online Nonprot Communications Plan: A Step-by-
Step Guide” on May 3 and May 16. The former is
scheduled at 1:00 p.m. EDT, and the latter will start
at 3:00 p.m. EDT.
According to organizers, no matter how large your
nonprot or the size of its online presence, a strategic
online communications plan can help you focus and
prioritize your communications efforts and stop spin-
ning your wheels.
This webinar, hosted by Julia Campbell, a nonprof-
it marketing strategist, will walk attendees through
the goal-selection process, how to determine their
target audience, how to craft a compelling message,
how to select and prioritize the online platforms that
will work best for their specic nonprot, and how
to measure their results and report on progress and
successes.
More specifically, attendees will learn, among
other things:
• How to create SMART (specic, measurable,
actionable, realistic and time-oriented) goals for your
nonprot online communications efforts.
• How to match actionable objectives to your
SMART goals.
• How to identify your target audience.
• How to develop a compelling, emotional mes-
sage for your online communications.
• How to choose the right online communications
platforms for your nonprot.
• How to best use the three most popular online
communications platforms for nonprots—a dy-
namic website, an email list and a Facebook page.
Fees for this event are $87.

at 2:00 p.m. EDT.
Presented on the Grantspace.org platform, the we-
binar will be hosted by the authors of A Consumer’s
Guide to Low-Cost Donor Management Systems and
will look at how the right donor management system
can make it easy to see the relationships between data
and donors and other constituents.
According to organizers, there are a number of
options on the market, but how do you distinguish
between the systems and their features? How do
you know which will best meet your nonprofit’s
particular needs? This practical webinar will answer
these questions and more. Attendees will learn about
the features and capabilities of donor management
systems, compare the available donor management
system options and learn how to maximize their
