Charityhowto.com webinar focuses
on impact evaluation
Nonprot resources website Charityhowto.com
will host a webinar titled “Grant Evaluation: How to
Successfully Include Evaluation in Smaller Grants”
on April 2 and April 9 at 3:00 p.m. ET and 1:00 p.m.
ET, respectively.
According to organizers, this webinar will teach
participants how to successfully include evaluation in
smaller grant applications in a consistent way. Led by
certied grant professional Diane H. Leonard, this
webinar will teach participants step by step how to take
into account what their organizations already measure
and what they want to measure and then address the
grantmakers’ guidelines with those things in mind.
Among other things, participants will learn:
how to approach the evaluation portion of ap-
plication narratives consistently in grant applications,
how to build what they want to measure into
evaluation narratives,
how to address evaluation in an application
when evaluation expenditures are not required by
the grantmaker and
how to work with colleagues to determine what
qualitative and quantitative data is best to promise to
a grantmaker but is also useful to the organization.
Fees for this event are $87.

Webinar looks at equity and bias
in hiring practices
Candid will host a webinar titled “Incorporating
an Equity Lens into Your Hiring Practices” on April
9 at 2:00 p.m. ET.
According to organizers, it is important to make
sure that equitable practices are baked into all that
nonprots do as an organization, starting with how
they select and bring people onto their teams. Led
by talent leader and coach Jen Chau Fontan, this
webinar will focus on two scenarios that have the
most potential for inequity to creep into the recruit-
ing process—when roles are ill-dened and various
members on the interviewing committees have their
own denitions of who would t the roles, and when
interviewing committees are not explicit in how they
name or call out their own biases.
Fontan will cover best practices and specic tools
for both getting crystal clear in how nonprot hiring
managers are shaping a role so that it is explicit and
sets candidates up for success, as well as how they are
taking an anti-bias approach to their interviewing and
candidate evaluations.
This event is free to the public.

Candid webinar takes a deep
dive in data management
Candid will host a webinar titled “Improving Your
Data Management to Drive Donations” on April 16
at 2:00 p.m. ET.
According to organizers, effective, personalized
donation asks are the most successful way to raise
money, but it can be challenging to make those asks
when donor data is stored in multiple locations. Inte-
grating online and ofine data is a crucial step to im-
proving an organization’s fundraising, and it doesn’t
have to cost an arm and a leg. This webinar—led by
Mike Liddell, general manager of digital services at
EveryAction—will show how easy it can be to boost
donations by taking a few simple steps to break down
the data silos in your organization.
Upon completion of this webinar, participants
should be able to:
describe the importance of integrating your
online and ofine data;
explain the different steps you can take to ensure
your data is integrated;
use all the data you have on donors, supporters
and constituents to improve your fundraising asks;
recognize ways to structure your team to start
thinking about donors holistically; and
avoid common pitfalls when combining data
from different sources.
This event is free to the public.
