Dorene Dominguez is the chairwoman and CEO of Vanir Group of Companies and its subsidiaries, Vanir Development Co. Inc. and Vanir Construction Management Inc., which respectively specialize in commercial and institutional real estate development and construction management.

Dominguez is a member of the group that purchased the National Basketball Association Sacramento Kings in a successful effort to keep the team in Sacramento. She became the first Latina NBA team owner.
