Wet Willie's, a popular bar in Columbia's Vista district, has closed its doors. Management announced over the weekend that Jan. 8 would be the venue's last night of operation.

The bar, known for its wide selection of frozen daiquiris, initially opened 15 years ago and was located at 800 Gervais St.

Management announced on social media that they had made the "difficult decision" not to renew the lease at the Gervais Street location but indicated the possibility of reopening at another location in the Columbia area.
