Overregulation plaguing CEOs.

CEOs cite overregulation as the top issue interfering with business growth, according to a new survey from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Despite their concerns, many are optimistic about increased revenue in 2005.

Forty-one percent said they were "very confident" of increasing revenue. That is an increase of 31 percent over last year and 26 percent in 2002. The worldwide survey of 1,300 CEOs found the most optimism from CEOs in the United States, Asia and South America.

This optimism prevailed despite 60 percent of the respondents citing overregulation as the major concern. This is consistent with 59 percent from last year.
