The Ohio Department of Taxation is offering an amnesty program to allow Ohioans to correct errors in past filings.

The 2006 Tax Amnesty Program, which runs from Jan. 1-Feb. 15, 2006, is designed to help taxpayers deal with recent changes to Ohio's tax code. During that time, back taxes can be paid without penalty and any outstanding interest charges will be reduced by 50 percent.
