Offer intermittent leave as ADA accommodation.

When we talk about intermittent leave, we're usually discussing the FMLA. But take note: The ADA may also entitle your employees to take a few hours or a few days of leave at a time as a reasonable accommodation for the employee's qualifying disability.

Recent case: While working at a Georgia bakery for two decades, Deborah developed several disabilities, including respiratory disorders and high blood pressure. These required hospitalization at least five times.
