NOTICEBOARD will publish without charge announcements of reasonable length on matters deemed of interest to readers.

Such matters may include news of conferences or workshop series open to readers, and calls for papers; announcements of

new publications or working-paper series available to readers; invitations for the exchange of researchdata, or for collabora-

tion in research; news of international visitors, their interests, and whereand how to contact them; information for academics

planning to visit other countries, and seeking contacts and invitations. Jobs vacant or wanted cannot be included in NOTICE-

BOARD. Copy submission deadlines are about two months ahead of dates when subscribers receive their journal copies, so

NOTICEBOARDannouncements must be submitted well in advance of the relevant events. The editors reserve the right to edit,

John Perrin Prize 2017

The prize for the Best Paper published in Financial Accountability & Management in 2017 has been won by Gustaf

Kastberg and Emma Ek Österberg with their paper “Transformingsocial sector auditing–they audited more, but scru-

tinized less”.
