EMPLOYER WINS The district court judge
said poor job performance was a legitimate, non-
discriminatory reason for termination. He also said
evidence that the proffered reason was unworthy of
credence must be enough to support a reasonable
inference that the proffered reason was false, and
creating a mere shadow of doubt was insufcient.
The judge ruled that the plaintiff’s argument was
inadequate because it basically involved her disagree-
ment with the performance evaluations. He explained
that there was no evidence from which a reasonable
jury could conclude that the executive director didn’t
honestly believe that her performance was decient
and deserving of termination.
Assuming for the purpose of argument that the
stated reason was pretext, the judge also ruled there
wasn’t any proof that either the discipline or the ter-
mination resulted from racial discrimination.
The judge granted the motion and entered a sum-
mary judgment in favor of the YMCA.

District of Texas, No. H-17-2903, 06/26/2019].

Good360 launches new regional
distribution centers
Good360, a leading nonprot focused on gifts-in-
kind and product philanthropy, has launched a new
model for in-kind donation distribution that aims
to bolster the group’s network capacity to receive
product donations in large quantities. The Regional
Operating Center model will expand the collective
impact of the Good360 network by distributing
needed goods locally, regionally and nationally, the
group said, all in a way that is more sustainable for
Good360 and the recipient nonprot network.
Funded by a $1 million grant from Walmart, two
new ROCs will open in the near future, serving the
Baltimore and Nashville, Tenn., regions.
The Nashville ROC will be managed by the Good-
ness Project, a long-standing Good360 partner serv-
ing hundreds of nonprots. The Goodness Project
has warehouses serving Fort Worth, Texas; Buffalo,
N.Y.; and, most recently, Nashville, Tenn.
The Baltimore ROC is managed by Volunteers of
America Chesapeake & Carolinas, one of 30 Volun-
teers of America afliates in the United States. VOA
is dedicated to reducing poverty and empowering
self-reliance via the 48 programs they run in Mary-
land; Washington, DC; North and South Carolina;
and Virginia.

easy-to-use software.
Network for Good focuses on providing its clients
with an all-in-one fundraising platform and support
services package that helps them execute modern,
results-oriented fundraising campaigns. The rm
offers an integrated software solution for donor man-
agement, email marketing, online giving pages, peer-

According to the company, most of the 1.5 million

of outdated methods and software solutions to at-
tract, solicit, accept and track donations from indi-
viduals throughout the year.
Network for Good will use its Series B funding to
expand its product features and accelerate programs
to help more small nonprots fundraise using the
latest, most effective digital technologies.
