Banks and banking services are vital to business. While nearly every debtor has a deposit bank, the intersection of banking and bankruptcy is little understood. Questions arise when a bank's customer files a bankruptcy case, and the rapid pace of banking requires an ability to provide answers quickly.

Until this book, there had been no published guidance for bankers, company financial officers or professionals about banking in bankruptcy. This book was written to fill that void. It examines banking questions that frequently arise in bankruptcy and offers practical guidance.1 It reviews each type of bank product (ACH, auto-pay, credit cards, etc.) individually and responds to frequently recurring questions. It includes checklists for bankers, debtors and their lawyers as aids for flagging issues before they become problems.
