MBA poll: Members split on Kelly's qualifications.

The Milwaukee Bar Association's 2020 Judicial Poll showsrespondentsare split on whether Justice Dan Kelly is qualified for his seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

The MBA asked members to designate each judicial candidate in the spring election as qualified or not qualified. If a member was unfamiliar with the candidate, he or she could mark no opinion.

The results from the poll, announced on Wednesday, are as follows:

About 44% of respondents thought Kelly was qualified, butabout 42% said he was not qualified. The remaining 14% selected no opinion. His challenger, Dane County Circuit Court Judge Jill Karofksy, received about 74% qualified, 15% unqualified and 11% no opinion.
