Legendary boxer "Sugar" Ray Leonard joins board of Douglas Emmett real estate investment trust.

"Sugar" Ray Leonard, a boxer, philanthropist, best-selling author, television personality and ringside commentator, has been named to the board of Douglas Emmett.

Since 2013, Leonard has served as president of the Sugar Ray Leonard Foundation, which is committed to funding pediatric diabetes research and offering support programs that help people rebuild their communities in ten cities across the United States.

Often regarded as one of the greatest boxers of all time, he competed between 1977 and 1997, winning world titles in five weight divisions, championships in three weight divisions, as well as the undisputed welterweight title.
