Gallup Poll confirms favorable perception of CPA profession.

According to a 2005 Gallup Poll, the accounting profession receives high marks among Americans. Along with education and agriculture, accounting is viewed more favorably compared to 2004.

The profession was up eight approval points from last year in the poll. Results indicate that Americans continue to view accounting as one of the top-tier businesses in the U.S.

According to the poll, CPAs ranked higher than other financial-related professions, including:

* Insurance agents

* Bankers

* Management consultants

* Stock research analysts.
