FOREWORD
The American Bar Association Section of Antitrust Law is pleased to
publish the Antitrust Issues in International Intellectual Property
Transactions Handbook. This Handbook addresses the intersection of
intellectual property law and antitrust law internationally. Specifically,
the Handbook identifies, by country, both the relevant intellectual
property laws and antitrust or competition laws, and identifies how those
laws interact with one another.
The Section of Antitrust Law is grateful to the many attorneys who
contributed to the Handbook. We are especially grateful to Geoffrey
Oliver, who served as lead editor, and to Art Burke, Kimberly K. Kefalas,
Nicholas Widnell, Russell Wofford, Hiram Andrews, Dina Kallay and
Johannes Zöttl who provided valuable input and helped to prepare the
Handbook for publication.
