Ellen M. Lord served as the Under Secretary of Defense for acquisition and sustainment for the United States Department of Defense from 2017 until early-2021.
Prior to her government service, Lord was president and CEO of Textron Systems, whose products and services support defense, homeland security, aerospace and infrastructure protection. She is the former vice chairman of the National Defense Industrial Association and was recently appointed to the board of Voyager Space Holdings. She currently is an independent aerospace, defense and industrial consultant.
