FOREWORD

The Section of Antitrust Law is pleased to present this first edition of

the Transportation Antitrust Handbook. The intersection of antitrust and

regulation has long been at the forefront of counseling for practitioners

advising transportation businesses. The Transportation Antitrust

Handbook provides a comprehensive review of the regulatory and

antitrust issues that arise in the motor, rail, air, and ocean shipping

industries.

The Section is indebted to the many experienced practitioners who

contributed to the Handbook. T he Section’s Transportation and Energy

Industries Committee devoted a great deal of time and attention to this

project. We are especially grateful to Amanda Wait and Bruce

McCulloch, who coordinated the drafting and editing of the Handbook;

and to Patrick Bock, who edited the Handbook for publication.
