Dear Colleagues,
Thanks to the efforts of our editorial team and advisory boards, contributors,
reviewers, and the team at SAGE, the most recent Journal Citation Report® (JCR;
2015) ranked Review of Public Personnel Administration (ROPPA) 18 out of 46 among
public administration journals with an impact factor score of 1.222. ROPPA’s 5-year
impact factor (1.708) places it among the top 16 public administration journals—no
easy task given the subfield focus of our journal. Our track record continues to dem-
onstrate a commitment to not only high-quality research—as evidenced by our contin-
ued success in JCR—but also an inclusive dialogue with the practitioner community.
ROPPA has maintained these qualities by publishing timely research and being open
to a variety of theoretical and methodological perspectives—qualities evidenced by
this March 2017 issue.
