This issue marks the end of my two-year tenure as Editor of the Defense Counsel Journal. Thanks to our contributors and the editorial team, including Deputy Editor Bob Greenlee, we have continued the DC/s tradition of publishing cutting-edge articles. We have published on such topics as class actions, innovator liability, joint employer issues, the impact of the new federal rules, cybercrime, multi jurisdiction litigation, and comparative international law. This issue, too, carries on that tradition with articles on the "any exposure" causation theory in asbestos litigation, hot topics in international litigation, and the proportionality rule under the new federal rules.

According to Westlaw, since 2015, DCJ articles and authors have been cited and relied on over 150 times by district courts, the American Law Institute, Couch on Insurance, and various practice guides (from the ABA's Business and Commercial Litigation in Federal Courts to state practice guides such as the New York commercial litigation practice guide, West's Colorado practice series, and the Missouri practice series). From its initial publication in 1923 as the Insurance Counsel Journal, the Defense Counsel Journal has been a forum for the publication of topical and scholarly writings on the law, its development and reform. For nearly 100 years, the DCJ has provided an outlet for thought leadership from the viewpoint and experience of the practitioner and litigator in the civil defense and insurance fields, in the form of timely, scholarly level analysis of current legal trends valuable to judges, practitioners, and clients.

In the last two years, we have added innovations to the DCJ itself. We have featured the written remarks of internationally known keynote speakers at LADC meetings, including Richard Susskind on the future of the legal profession, former Prime Minister of Greece George Papandreou, and the Honorable Deborah Poritz...
