EDITOR'S NOTE

Historically, the Articles Edition had a theme based on the editor's interests. During the Summer of 2021, per tradition, we sought to develop a theme and solicit authors based on that theme. After much deliberation, myself and Editor-In-Chief, Shreya Shah, decided to go a different direction with the Volume 73 Articles Edition.

One of the goals for the Volume 73 Board of Editors was to reconnect with Mercer Law Review alumni with hopes of creating the first Mercer Law Review Alumni Council. I am proud to say that as of the publication of this Edition, the Alumni Council is off the ground and in its infancy. With the Alumni Council in mind, we decided to tap into the wealth of legal knowledge of the Mercer Law Review alumni network. We sent out an "all-call," inviting each Law Review alumnus for which we had contact information—dating back five decades—to contribute to this Edition.

We encountered immediate interest and were overwhelmed with the response by our alumni. You will find articles in this Edition authored by judges, educators, public interest, government, and private firm lawyers. The "theme," so to speak, is that each article was written by at least one graduate of Mercer Law School who was a member of Mercer Law Review. These alumni-authors have written on a variety of topics that will be a shining contribution to each area of law discussed. Also included are four student publications.
