City officials in Dayton are debating the merits of a free, city-wide wireless Internet network, a move that would promote Dayton as a technology leader.

The wireless network is expected to deliver close to T-1 speeds and will be accessible in public places, including parks and sidewalks, to people with wireless enabled devices.
