David L. Gitlin, chairman and CEO of Carrier, has been appointed to I the board of Boeing.

"Dave is a proven leader with deep aerospace, manufacturing and supply chain expertise," says Boeing chairman Larry Kellner. "With his consistent focus on safety and track record of operational expertise, Dave will add critical experience and perspective to our board."

Prior to his election as chairman in 2021, Gitlin was president and CEO of Carrier, which specializes in heating, ventilating, air conditioning, refrigeration, fire, security and building automation technologies. He previously served in a number of leadership positions at United Technologies Corporation (UTC), including president and COO of Collins Aerospace Systems and president of UTC Aerospace Systems.
